Rep. Ralph Norman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 5th district, shared his views on international relations and domestic legislative developments through a series of tweets.
On June 13, 2025, Rep. Norman expressed gratitude towards Israel for its efforts against Iran, stating that “America and the free world owe Israel a debt of gratitude for having the courage and fortitude to confront and destroy Iran as an axis of evil.” He credited the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu and President Biden with keeping “Peace Through Strength” alive.
Later that day, he announced progress in domestic fiscal policy by highlighting the House’s approval of significant budget cuts. He tweeted that “The House passed $9.4 billion of waste, fraud, and abuse CUTS this week.” The package is now pending Senate approval. Rep. Norman also mentioned his travel plans between his district and Washington D.C., indicating continued involvement in legislative reconciliation efforts.
On June 14, 2025, Rep. Norman commemorated a milestone for the United States Army by wishing it a happy 250th birthday. He acknowledged its longstanding role in national defense by stating “For two and a half centuries, the Army has stood strong in defense of our nation.” He extended gratitude to those who have served in the military.
Ralph Norman has been part of Congress since replacing Mick Mulvaney in 2017 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2017. Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1953, he graduated from Presbyterian College with a BS degree in 1975.
