Ralph Norman, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district since 2017, recently shared his views on various issues through social media posts. Known for his tenure in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2017 and his background as a graduate of Presbyterian College, Norman expressed strong opinions on topics ranging from antisemitic attacks to fiscal policies.
On June 2, 2025, Ralph Norman condemned an incident he described as a “sick, antisemitic attack” perpetrated by an illegal immigrant. He stated that such acts are “disgraceful,” “evil,” and should be met with the full force of the law. Emphasizing intolerance towards hatred in the United States, he declared there is “ZERO room for this kind of hatred in the United States.”
Later that day, Norman addressed fiscal responsibility within government operations. He urged the House to act swiftly on a rescissions bill proposed by the White House. Highlighting public demand for reducing governmental inefficiency, he insisted that lawmakers must “deliver on the mandate from the American people to drain the swamp and slash waste.”
On June 4, 2025, Ralph Norman continued discussing fiscal matters by targeting what he referred to as unnecessary government expenditures. He called for cutting “bloated programs,” unused COVID relief funds, and diversity initiatives deemed excessive. Stressing taxpayer interests, he labeled this rescissions package as “step one in bringing fiscal sanity back to Washington.”
