Rep. Ralph Norman, U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts over the Labor Day weekend and into early September, touching on topics ranging from honoring American workers to allegations of government corruption.

On September 1, Norman marked the holiday with a message recognizing laborers across the country: “Happy Labor Day! Today we honor the hard-working men and women who make South Carolina and America run. Enjoy the day!!”

The following day, he commented on what he characterized as official misconduct, writing on September 2: “Exhibit A of government corruption!! https://t.co/sekWDjaOTh”

On September 3, Norman addressed ongoing investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein, stating: “The American people deserve the truth. The Epstein scandal exposed a web of corruption, cover-ups, and crimes that cannot be swept under the rug. I fully support @GOPoversight Committee’s efforts to get answers.”

Norman has served in Congress since replacing Mick Mulvaney in 2017 after previously spending over a decade in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1953 and continues to reside there. Norman is an alumnus of Presbyterian College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975.
