Rep. Ralph Norman, who has represented South Carolina’s 5th District in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing state and national issues. Norman, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2017.
On July 12, 2025, Norman highlighted the impact of recent legislative developments on small businesses in his state. He stated that “359,000 small businesses in South Carolina just dodged a 43% tax hike because of OBBB. This is what defending free enterprise looks like.”
The following day, July 13, 2025, Norman referenced the anniversary of an attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life. He wrote, “One year ago, President Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, PA. God bless President Trump, who has never backed down “
On July 14, 2025, Norman addressed recent congressional action related to federal spending. He posted that “The House passed President Trump’s spending cuts to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse. Now it’s time for the Senate to act. Let’s get it to the President’s desk!”
Ralph Norman was born in Rock Hill in 1953 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Presbyterian College in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
