Rep. Ralph Norman, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district, posted several updates on his social media account on April 16, 2026, highlighting discussions with industry leaders, community events, and commentary on international immigration policy.
In a post from the morning of April 16, Norman shared details about a meeting with members of the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO), stating: “Had a great discussion with members of @NCTO — the men and women that are the true voice of the U.S. textile industry. They do critical work daily to advance American interests both at home and with our partners globally. Thanks for stopping by!”.
Later that day, Norman reminded constituents about an upcoming deadline for a local art competition: “REMINDER: Less than ONE WEEK left to submit your artwork for a chance to have it displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a full year. I look forward to seeing the incredible talent from across our district!!”.
In another post on April 16, Norman commented on Spain’s decision regarding undocumented migrants and drew a parallel to proposed U.S. legislation: “Spain just approved legal status for over 500,000 undocumented migrants. THIS is what the “Dignity” Act would do!!”.
Ralph Norman has represented South Carolina’s 5th District in Congress since 2017 after serving more than a decade in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1953 and continues to reside there. Norman graduated from Presbyterian College in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
