Rep. Ralph Norman, who represents South Carolina’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative actions and policy positions on federal spending, education funding, and border security.
On July 15, 2025, Norman posted about a recent House GOP initiative: “.@HouseGOP passed a $9.4B rescissions bill to claw back wasteful spending — everything from woke propaganda at NPR to unused COVID slush funds. Now the Senate needs to do its job and pass it, so we can send it to the President’s desk.”
The following day, July 16, Norman addressed concerns regarding the National Education Association (NEA): “The @NEAToday has abandoned teachers, students, and parents to push a radical agenda. I’m proud to support the NEA Charter Repeal Act with @RepMarkHarrisNC and @MarshaBlackburn to STOP taxpayer dollars being funneled to political machines.”
On July 17, Norman shared statistics on border crossings: “In June, southern border crossings dropped to just 6,072, the lowest EVER recorded. Nationwide, only 25,228 illegal crossings. This is what serious border security looks like. That’s not a coincidence. That’s leadership.”
Norman has represented South Carolina’s 5th District in Congress since 2017 after serving over a decade in the South Carolina House of Representatives. Born in Rock Hill in 1953 and an alumnus of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1975, he continues to reside in Rock Hill.
