Rep. Ralph Norman, U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on September 3, 2025, regarding the ongoing Congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes and subsequent death.

In his first post, Norman emphasized the purpose behind the current proceedings: “This isn’t about politics. It’s about accountability.” (September 3, 2025).

He continued by detailing recent developments in the investigation led by Chairman Comer: “Chairman Comer’s Oversight investigation is delivering results:
34,000 pages of DOJ documents already received
Subpoenas to Epstein’s estate and Treasury for records
Depositions & interviews underway
Survivors engaged directly”
(September 3, 2025).

Addressing public concerns over transparency and unresolved questions surrounding Epstein’s case, Norman stated: “Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, his death, and the failures surrounding both have left Americans with more questions than answers.

Congress has a duty to demand transparency. ” (September 3, 2025).

Norman has been an active figure in Congress since replacing Mick Mulvaney in 2017. Before serving at the federal level, he was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2017. Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1953, Norman continues to reside there today. He graduated from Presbyterian College in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
