Rep. Ralph Norman, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district since 2017, used his social media platform on April 15, 2026, to highlight legislative priorities and concerns affecting American families.

In a post marking Tax Day, Norman wrote: “For too long, working families carried the burden while Washington grew. We FLIPPED that script. On Tax Day, we celebrate: • $10,900 more in take-home pay for a family of four with 2 kids • Roughly 10% higher average refunds • $6000 bonus deduction for seniors” (April 15, 2026).

Later the same day, Norman addressed immigration policy and criticized the proposed “Dignity Act.” He stated: “Another reason we must strike down the so-called ‘Dignity Act,’ mass amnesty by another name !! Lauren Bullis should be alive today. Washington has no business rewarding the failures that cost innocent Americans their lives.” (April 15, 2026).

Norman also emphasized support for law enforcement funding in a subsequent post: “Things that shouldn’t be up for question: funding our law enforcement.” (April 15, 2026).

Norman has represented South Carolina’s 5th District in Congress since succeeding Mick Mulvaney in 2017 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2017. Born in Rock Hill in 1953 and an alumnus of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1975, Norman continues to reside in Rock Hill.
