67 percent of applicants to the University of South Carolina-Lancaster were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of South Carolina-Lancaster, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Lancaster enrolled 1,523 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (63 percent) and Black or African American (19 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 756 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 64 percent enrolled.
