Town of Cheraw issued the following announcement on November 23.
Cheraw Recreation & Leisure Services presents “Deck the House” a holiday light competition. .

- Participation is open to all residents with a Cheraw 29520 zip code.
- Entry is free (no cost) and contest will be limited to the first 15 entries.
- Contest applications available at the Cheraw Community Center and Town Hall and must be received by 5pm on Friday, December 10, 2021.
- Contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior.
- Participants should ensure that all lights, animations and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods on all nights (December 17-19).
- There will also be a Facebook-driven Fan Favorite Vote (on-line voting 12/17-19).
Two (2) prizes will be awarded:
- One 1st prize of a $200 home improvement gift certificate/card, custom trophy, and bragging rights for a year
- One 2nd prize of a $125 home improvement gift certificate/card
- The Facebook Fan Favorite will receive a trophy
