Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on December 1.
With the holiday season approaching, Sheriff James Dixon and staff would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicle doors and remove valuables even when at home. While shopping this holiday season, pay attention to your surroundings and keep gifts out of sight while they are in your vehicle. Also, remember to remove packages as soon as possible from your porches.
