AARP Tax Assistance provides free tax preparation help for low-to moderate-income taxpayers, especially those 50 and older. There is no limit on age or income. AARP membership not required. Call 704-247-1630 or email fortmilltaxes@gmail.com for appointments.
In person appointment sign-up will be offered on Friday, January 28 from 1:00-5:00 at the library, as well as any time that AARP volunteers are present at the library. Taxpayers will be required to wear masks and complete a data packet prior to the first appointment. Data packets will be available at the library during their hours of operation or electronically.
