Chesterfield County School District issued the following announcement on March 28.
Effective July 1, 2022, Mr. Jamie Brown will begin his new leadership role as the district’s Director of Transportation/Safety Officer.
Effective July 1, 2022, Mr. Jamie Brown will begin his new leadership role as the district’s Director of Transportation/Safety Officer. Mr. Brown has been employed by the district for 26 years. He is a licensed school administrator and earned his Masters’ Degree in Leadership Education from Nova Southeastern University. He previously served as a teacher and assistant principal at both Cheraw High and Long Middle Schools. He also has led one of the district’s employee safety initiatives for the last five years. Dr. Goodwin, district superintendent states, “As an assistant principal, Mr. Brown has worked with transportation on a regular basis. We believe that he is prepared to lead this program.” When asked about this new endeavor, Mr. Brown stated, “For the last 26 years, I have been helping children while they have been in school, I am now looking forward to helping them arrive safely to and from school each day.”
