Mrs. Shari Stubbs | Chesterfield County School District

 Mrs. Shari Stubbs has been named the Chief Academic Officer for Chesterfield County School District.
Mrs. Stubbs has been in education for over 30 years.

Her entire career has been in Chesterfield County School District. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelors’ degree. She is also a graduate from Meredith College where she earned her teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Stubbs earned a Masters’ degree from the University of South Carolina at Lancaster. She began her teaching career at Cheraw Primary School. She also worked as a Literacy Coach before moving to the District Office. Over the last 10 years she has been a Coordinator and Director in the Curriculum and Instruction Department.

In addition, Mrs. Stubbs works as a Literacy Teacher in the Chesterfield County Adult Education Program in the evenings. She is the President of the Chesterfield County Administrators Association.

Mrs. Stubbs is a member of First United Methodist Church in Cheraw, SC where she teaches Sunday School to the women’s Ezer class. She is married to Keith Stubbs and they have one son, Benson. Benson is a graduate of Cheraw High School and Clemson University.

According to Dr. Chan Anderson, Superintendent, “Mrs. Stubbs is an instructional leader that is highly respected by our district and school administrators, teachers, and community. She has the ability and experience to help move our schools towards greater academic achievement and towards excellence. She knows exactly where I want our instructional program in the future, and she has the wherewithal to get us there.”
