Ralph Norman, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 5th District since 2017, has recently shared his views on several topics through social media posts. Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Norman succeeded Mick Mulvaney and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives.

On February 5, 2025, Norman celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day by acknowledging "the many accomplishments of TRUE female athletes." He expressed anticipation for an executive order from President Trump aimed at preventing "biologically assigned males from competing in women’s and girls’ sporting events." "Happy National Girls & Women in Sports Day!"

The following day, on February 6, 2025, Norman addressed the issue of drug overdoses, stating that over 107,000 people died due to this cause in 2023. He criticized Democrats for voting against the HALT Fentanyl Act and emphasized the necessity for law enforcement to have adequate tools to combat lethal drugs. "In 2023, more than 107,00 people died of drug overdoses."

Later on February 6, he questioned the allocation of $7.9 million for teaching Sri Lankan journalists about avoiding "binary-gendered language," asking how it contributes to American safety. "Explain how $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid 'binary-gendered language' keeps the American people safe??"
