Today, citizens of Chesterfield County are receiving phone calls from someone pretending to be a Lieutenant Sellers of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office. They are telling that we have a warrant for their arrest and requesting money and a DNA sample.
We do not call citizens demanding payment of a certain amount of money for a warrant nor do we demand a DNA sample. Also, we do not have a Lieutenant Sellers with our office.
Sheriff James Dixon does not want you to become a victim of a scam. Please do not give out your personal information nor send money.
