Washington, DC - Congressman Joe Wilson, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, has publicly criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) following its issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Wilson stated: “The International Criminal Court’s decision to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is despicable and an affront to Israel, as it continues to defend itself in the face of the horrific terrorist attacks of Hamas.”
He further accused the ICC of being biased against Israel. "Long an anti-semitic organization, the ICC again ignores the facts and must be sanctioned," Wilson said. He emphasized his support for measures against the court by mentioning his co-sponsorship of a legislative act aimed at sanctioning it.
“With the leadership of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and President-elect Donald Trump we will stop the rabid witch hunt against Israel and its right to exist. The United States stands with Israel,” he concluded.
