Ralph Norman, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 5th district since 2017, recently shared his perspectives on various political issues through social media posts. Norman has been vocal about government spending and recognition of notable individuals from his state.

On March 11, 2025, Norman expressed his support for a continuing resolution (CR) that he typically opposes. He stated, "I usually oppose CRs as they just kick the can down the road. But this one is different so I voted YES." He emphasized that this particular resolution reduces and freezes spending for six months without earmarks and supports initiatives to keep the government open for border security and energy policies under former President Trump.

On March 13, 2025, Norman criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's approach to fiscal policy in a tweet saying, "#ShutdownSchumer only cares about spending more of your tax dollars. What a shame!!" This comment reflects his disapproval of what he perceives as excessive government expenditure.

Later on the same day, March 13, 2025, Norman announced his leadership in advocating for national recognition of an individual from South Carolina. He tweeted, "YES!! I lead a letter to @POTUS to honor this outstanding SC native! He deserves the medal" This indicates his active role in promoting honors for citizens from his home state.
